FOOTPRINTS OF PAN AFRICANISM is a documentary film directed by filmmaker and Sankofa Bookstore co-founder, Shirikiana Aina. This film revisits the era of Ghana's independence and the brief period in which Africans on the continent and in the Diaspora participated in building a liberated territory that can be called the greatest experiment of Pan Africanism to take place since the calamity of slavery. FOOTPRINTS OF PANAFRICANISM recounts the powerful bonds that were created between Africans on the continent and in the Diaspora to recover from the impact of slavery and colonialism.
